The Nadja - Truth Becomes Death 2xlp is now available.
The recording opens with “Bug/Golem”, an epic track weighing in at a walloping 23 minutes. The piece opens slowly, building from a distant drone that matures into riffing and sparse percussion and then escalates into a murky wall of sound. At the halfway point the track changes dramatically, utilizing heavy guitar riffs alongside buried layers of vocals that combine with eerie melodies before finally trailing off with a whisper. The second composition, “Memory Leak,” erupts with a colossal blast of doom metal and advances at a menacing, sloth-like pace, making it reminiscent of a more plodding Isis or a cross between Earth and Rafael Toral. In its last quarter the track shifts into an opaque soundscape of drones and remote noises. The closer “Breakpoint”, commences with a thick fog of cacophony and then assumes a more subdued tone, employing serene vocals in a style that brings to mind The For Carnation. The final and most tranquil section of the record makes use of ghostly murmuring that brings “Truth Beomes Death” to a graceful yet ominous conclusion.’ – Alien 8 Recordings -

TRANSITIONAL 'Nothing Real Nothing Absent' CD - May 27
Transitional is the new project of musician producer Kevin Laska (Novatron) and long time Justin K Broadrick and Kevin Martin collaborator Dave Cochrane (Jesu, Grey Machine,…). The debut 'Nothing Real Nothing Absent' offers a rich variety in their approach to sound combining crushing atmospheres through a mixture of electronic ambience, mangling bass lines and distorted epic layers of textured guitar.
Transitional; a solid, textured and dynamic sonic journey through a world that is both self deprecating and enlightening, but either way leaves you wanting more.

Nadja 3x 2xlp Pack info
We decided to offer these 3 beautiful releases as one pack, at the reduced price of 40 euro - these packs can be pre-ordered as soon as the Touched 2xLP goes online (April 22), and they will ship on the release date of the last release of the series ('Truth Becomes Death' 2xLP) on June 23.
There are 100 coloured vinyl packs available for the first orders, the rest will be available seperatly. As soon as you’ve ordered your pack your copy of the records has been reserved. We’ll send you a mail with the payment information as soon as Truth Becomes Death becomes available. Please note that the coloured lp pack is limited to 1 per customer.
Unfortunatly the shipping costs for packages shipped outside of Europe and the USA are extremely high and it’s actually cheaper to order the three records seperately, however if you’d like to order other records besides the Nadja pack the combined shipping can still be the better option (weight of the Nadja pack is 2.2 kg, you can add records up to 5 kg).
If you don't want to miss out, make sure to wishlist the packs here for coloured, here for black immediately, so you'll be the first to get a notification when these are available for pre-order.
All 3 releases are pressed in a limited edition of 750 copies, 200 on coloured and 550 on black vinyl.
core063 - NADJA 'Touched' 2xLP - 200 Silver and 550 Black
core064 - NADJA 'Radiance Of Shadows' 2xLP - 200 White and 550 Black
core065 - NADJA 'Truth Becomes Death' 2xLP - 200 Gold and 550 Black
All 3 releases have similar special packaging, including embossed, die-cut outersleeves and full colour innersleeves. Artwork for each release contains a series of pictures by SELDON HUNT, ànd all D-Sides have an etched picture on them.

HeatdeatH... blacker than black!
The HeatdeatH records have arrived at the office... limited black vinyl (250 copies), with black print fold out sleeve, showing nothing but the dark future which lays ahead of us: grim, violent, foreign and insipid.
With HeatdeatH, Andrew Broder and Tim Glenn are flirting with the dire circumstances of the human condition in the abstract. The two tracks on this black slab of vinyl are thematically linked in sound, structure and mood. The music evokes a place unpleasant and unbearable.
HeatdeatH is a duo from Minnesota that conjures up sound with guitars, drums and machines. Musically informed by Black Metal, Free Jazz, Electronic Composition, four track recording and pretty shit, their sound constantly unfolds and overlaps, searching melodically with great sadness and beauty, while overwhelmingly abrasive and terrifying all at once. HeatdeatH is the Void, Infinite Cosmic Despair, and the end of consciousness.
Listen to some sound samples here. Official release date is March 25!

Birchville Cat Motel - Four Freckle Constellation
The brand new Birchville Cat Motel - Four Freckle Constellation lp will go online tomorrow! 6 New tracks by New Zealand's Birchville Cat Motel (Campbell Kneale).
Birchville Cat Motel has gained international recognition as one the bright shining lights of drone-music.
Kneale has to be one of the most exciting proponents of the New Zealand noise-avantgarde scene, engaging the full spectrum of electro-acoustic sound exploration over numerous releases on such labels as Ecstatic Peace, Drunken Fish, Freedom From, Last Visible Dog, Celebrate Psi Phenomenon,Insample and more …
To listen to Birchville Cat Motel, one must really free their mind. It is more than just an aural experience. Being immersed in his soundscapes is like being transported to another world, like a great composer, he puts each piece in its perfect place as to leave the longest impression.
To say Kneale is a drone master is kind of an understatement. Over the courses of too many releases to remember, he has constructed a sonic arsenal to match any threats that may arise.
'Four Freckle Constellation 'is no less then a mindfuck of epic proportions…
"I just want to make beautiful things." -Campbell Kneale -
All records are 180gr vinyl, 150 on Transparant and 350 on Black vinyl, Full colour fold out sleeve with artwork by Seldon Hunt and come with a coupon for a free MP3 download.

Birchville Cat Motel, HeatdeatH, Fear Falls Burning, Transitional & NADJA releases!
Hey folks,
Time for a huuuuuuuge update...
First we'd like to wish everyone a splendid 2008!
2007 was a blast for us with the new Maninkari CDs, the collaborations of our dearest Fear Falls Burning with Birchville Cat Motel and Nadja, and Sunburned Hand of the Man with Circle of course. We had some delicious new MGR stuff, a very tasty Skull Defekts record and we were delighted to throw in those Pleasure Forever recordings we got from Sub Pop. Even earlier there was the Growing 'Live' LP and of course Jesu's 'Conqueror' and Isis' 'Celestial'.
Our plan is to continue that path to pleasing your ears this year, and we have quite some stuff in the works to do just so:

Fear Falls Burning/Jesu leftover tour merchandise
Hey everyone,
The Jesu / Fear Falls Burning Euro tour has come to an end, special thanks to all those who came out!
We have some leftover merchandise, so if you didn't get the chance to buy something, or you still need a Christmas gift, this is what we have:
Fear Falls Burning shirt - size M, L or XL - € 13
Fear Falls Burning zip up sweater - size XL - € 28
Jesu white shirt GIRLIE - size S, M, L or XL - € 13
Jesu white shirt - size S, M, L, XL or XXL - € 13
Jesu black shirt w/ large print - size S, M, L or XL - € 13
Jesu black shirt w/ small print - size S, M, L or XL - € 13
Jesu black hooded sweater - size S, M, L or XL - € 25
We also received some very cool reactions to the tour, here are a few excerpts:
"The session begins with a haunting melody, occult almost, full of mystique and magic, floating on top of the distorted chords. At first, there are holes in the texture, bound together solely by the ambient atmospherics Serries (= Fear Falls Burning, sic) waves into them. But more and more, he sews the islands together, smoothening out the gaps and billowing the resonance into the pounding heartbeat of a supernatural entity. This is a drone if ever there was one! [...] The songs are astoundingly similar, but it is this very feat of never reaching one's goal which makes Jesu so strong: In its constant suffering, the band reaches an emblematic uniqueness, which sublimates their outwardly easy guitar/bass/drum exercises to art."
written by Tobias Fischer (TOKAFI.COM) about Fear Falls Burning and Jesu @ State X festival, The Hague 15 Dec 2007. Read full concert review here.
"Loud, raw and completely filling the room; in 1 piece, while being seated, hands ( + feet) on the guitar and fx, the composition of one of the more complex works, not chords, but a web of sound, multi-layered, restoring, but hustling, and at the same time aimless, but guiding."
translation of the review written by n (UNRUHR.DE) about Fear Falls Burning @ Underground, Köln 6 Dec 2007. Read full concert review (in German) here.
Vincent is working hard non-stop, so there are already a bunch of new (European) gigs and tours we are really excited about (check the Conspiracy Booking page for all news and updates). 2008... bring it on!
Happy holidays to all of you!
